Across every culture, every nation, every faith, and every generation, children come into this world carrying possibility. Their protection, nurturing, education, and well-being are not simply the responsibility of their families – they are a sacred responsibility we share as a human family.
Our Sacred Responsibility
To work for children is to place their lives, their dignity, their voices, and their futures at the center of our collective consciousness.
We believe every child deserves to grow within a world that protects their innocence, nurtures their gifts, honors their identity, and provides the love, safety, education, and opportunities they need to become fully who they were divinely born to be.
Work 4 Children – Action
Our love for children must become more than intention. It must become action.
Work 4 Children calls us to use our individual and collective voices, gifts, knowledge, resources, and influence to protect the sacred lives of children – within our families, our communities, our institutions, and throughout our world.
We Commit Ourselves to:
Protect – Safeguard every child’s right to live, learn, grow, and thrive free from violence, exploitation, neglect, and harm.
Listen – Honor children’s voices, experiences, questions, dreams, and truths. Children deserve to be heard.
Advocate – Speak and act when laws, policies, institutions, technologies, or systems fail to place the well-being of children first.
Educate – Share knowledge that strengthens families, communities educators, and children themselves.
Nurture – Create environments rooted in love, belonging, compassion, safety, creativity, hope – always keeping children at the center.
Empower – Help children recognize their inherent worth, develop their own voices, honor their identities, and know that their lives have purpose.
Act – Turn compassion into meaningful service. When a child needs protection, support, opportunity, or an advocate, “we answer the call”.
From Commitment to Collective Action
Our collective power begins when individual commitment becomes shared action.
The reality is that no one woman, family, organization, community, or nation can meet every need of every child. But together, we can create circles of awareness, advocacy, resources, protection, and opportunity that reach far beyond what any one of us could accomplish alone.
We are not called to do everything. We are called to do something.
And when each of us brings what we have – our voice, our knowledge, our gifts, our resources, our relationships, and our willingness to serve – our individual acts become a collective force for children.

This Global Covenant is a call to action-to establish ethical guardrails, shared responsibility, and a global commitment to ensure that technology and Artificial Intelligence serve children without exploiting, manipulating, or diminishing their humanity.
This work is more than a book. It is a movement-a global call to awaken, educate, advocate, and act on behalf of children everywhere.
THE COVENANT IN ACTION
The Covenant moves from words to action by bringing together the voices, wisdom, and lived experiences of children, youth, families, educators, advocates, policymakers, and communities around the world.
This work includes:
- Global advocacy for ethical safeguards and protection for children in technology and Artificial Intelligence.
- Global education and awareness to help families, educators, and communities understand both the possibilities and risks of Artificial Intelligence in children’s lives.
- Engaging the voices of children and youth so they have a meaningful place in shaping the technologies that affect their lives and their future.
- Calling upon technology leaders, policymakers, educators, families, and communities to share responsibility and accountability for protecting the sacred lives, dignity, identity, and sovereignty of every child.
OUR GLOBAL VOICES
The voices of children and youth are at the heart of this Covenant. Their experiences, hopes, concerns, and visions for the future must help shape the world of technology they are inheriting.
We believe children must not simply inherit the future – they must have a voice in creating it.
Through surveys, conversations, and creative expression, children and youth will be invited to share their hopes, concerns, experiences, and ideas about technology and Artificial Intelligence.
HOW WE WILL LISTEN
We will create opportunities for children and youth to share their voices through:
Youth surveys and questionnaires
Youth listening circles and conversations that we call an “Indaba”which means in Zulu- “Deep Talk”.
Creative expressions through art, poetry, writing, music, and storytelling where we will sponsor “Open Mic” events.
Youth forums and intergenerational conversations
Opportunities for children and youth to contribute their ideas and recommendations to the continuing development of the Global Covenant
An annual Global Youth Convocation bringing young voices from around the world together to share their experiences, hopes, concerns, creative expressions, and recommendations for the future.
A Global Youth Leadership Council providing an ongoing platform for youth leaders to help guide the work of the Global Covenant and represent the voices and perspectives of their generation.
Global Youth Mentorship Initiative- connecting emerging youth leaders with compassionate mentors who nurture their gifts, strengthen leadership skills, and help transform their ideas into meaningful action.
Our commitment is not simply to speak for young people but to create the sacred space where young people are empowered to speak for themselves, lead with purpose, and help shape the world they will inherit.
